XDI.org is the legal host for the OpenXRI Project, an open source project designed to produce the "BIND of XRI", i.e., a Java reference implementation of an XRI server, resolver, and proxy resolver that can be easily installed and used anywhere XRI identifiers and discovery services are needed. OpenXRI Project Contributor's Agreements
OpenXRI uses the [http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0 Apache 2.0 License] and bases its contributor license agreements (CLAs) on the [http://www.apache.org/ Apache Foundation] model.
The [attachment:openxri-individual-cla-v1 OpenXRI Individual Contributor License Agreement] is based directly on the [http://www.apache.org/licenses/icla.txt Apache Individual CLA]. This is the CLA that should be submitted by any individual contributor making a submission on their own behalf and not on behalf of an employer.
The [attachment:openxri-corporate-cla-v1 OpenXRI Corporate Contributor License Agreement] is based directly on the [http://www.apache.org/licenses/cla-corporate.txt Apache Corporate CLA]. This is the CLA that should be used by any organization making a corporate contribution and/or authorizing its employee(s) to act as individual contributors.
Note that both agreements are needed for an individual contributor who is working an an employee of a company or organization that has IPR restrictions of any kind.
In both cases, instructions for completing and submitting the CLA are inside the document.
