Licenses and Agreements
Here is the editable text from the XDI.ORG Web page http://www.xdi.org/licenses-and-agreements.html
XDI.ORG was originally formed through the donation of intellectual property rights for the underlying technology in September 2000. A key purpose of XDI.ORG is to serve as a public trust for those rights and to pass them on to members of the XDI community. XDI.ORG also serves as the community governance authority for global services to this community.
The agreements that form the legal basis for these responsibilities are:
-
The XDI.ORG Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Agreement.
-
The XDI.ORG Global Service Provider (GSP) Agreement.
Note: A third document, the XDI.ORG License (formerly the XNS License) is being revised by XDI.ORG counsel Scott Blackmer based on the new XDI.ORG IPR Agreement (formerly the XNS IPR Agreement). The requirements of this license are fully stated in the XDI.ORG IPR Agreement, and the new XDI.ORG License will be posted as soon as possible.
