Please see LightweightAuthnProtocol for background on this topic. The primary question is: should the ISSO specification support a lightweight HTTP SSO protocol in addition to the SAML 2.0 authentication protocol?

And if so, what criteria should it specify for selection of an existing lightweight HTTP SSO protocol or development of a new one?
